I was tasked with writing a film cue using piano and synth pads and atmospheres in a minimalist style.  This style is not to be confused with the minimalist or neo-minimalist styles of Steve Reich, Terry Riley, and John Adams!  This is a style more specific to film scores using soft piano sounds and creating moods or “atmospheres”.

I chose the Spitfire Hans Zimmer Challenge because the competition was current and the video lent itself to this style of writing. I had to re-edit the video to fit the time frame of my assignment restrictions.
